Crossing the Vietnam–Laos Border by Motorbike Was a Huge Mistake!

Riding a motorbike from Vietnam to Laos sounded simple… until I reached the border. In this adventure travel vlog, I attempt an international border crossing by motorcycle through one of Southeast Asia’s most remote crossings, dealing with paperwork, visas, customs, language barriers, and the uncertainty of whether I’ll actually be allowed into Laos with a Vietnamese motorbike. Before heading toward the Laos border, I ride through the stunning countryside of northern Vietnam and stop at the incredible Cuc Phuong National Park near Ninh Binh — Vietnam’s oldest national park. Surrounded by dense jungle, limestone mountains, exploring a crazy cave and winding roads, and an ancient forest, this part of the journey became one of the most peaceful and beautiful rides of the trip. From quiet rural villages, mysterious caves, to misty mountain roads, the route toward Laos was an adventure in itself. This episode follows my overland journey across Southeast Asia as I ride through Vietnam and continue into Laos on a solo motorcycle adventure.
