No More Pi: Why I Ditched the Raspberry Pi 5 for the CM5

The Raspberry Pi 5 isn't dead. The next TrailCurrent build will use the Compute Module 5 on a Waveshare carrier as the better answer. Same BCM2712 chip, same Raspberry Pi OS, but you pick the RAM, the eMMC, and whether you want wireless or not. The M.2 NVMe slot is right there on the board without the fragile ribbon cable needed. In this video: ✅ Pi 5 vs CM5 — what's actually the same, what's different ✅ Why the Pi 5's M.2 HAT+ ribbon is the weakest link in the stack ✅ Stacking a HAT and running NVMe on the same board ✅ Why the CM5 leaves more headroom for an active cooler under a HAT ✅ When the regular Pi 5 is still the right call Waveshare CM5 IO Base B (Affiliate Link) The carrier used in this video: https://www.waveshare.com/cm5-io-base...
