Today I stopped for lunch at Tavernetta sull'Aia in Monterado (Ancona), one of those places you hope will cheer you up even when you're not in the best mood. My head was full of thoughts... it happens to everyone. And I thought: maybe a good lunch can really lift your day. Well, spoiler alert: it happened. And how! The first thing that strikes you is the outdoor space, well-kept and truly pleasant. But it's the interior that surprises me: bright, tastefully decorated, welcoming. One of those restaurants where you immediately feel at ease. The menu offers both meat and fish, plus several off-menu items, and it was precisely one of these that started my adventure: grilled wild boar, a dish I'd never tried in my life. But first, a great start: ✔️ An entrée with homemade bread and croutons and pumpkin cream. ✔️ And their specialty: a spectacular and incredibly rich appetizer, which you absolutely must see in the video. For the first course, I chose the handmade tagliatelle with Marche ragù from Vincisgrassi: a generous portion, plenty of sauce, just the right amount of texture... and a truly special flavor. Then came the fried meat, served in a super cute way... on the scale! Crispy, light, delicious. And finally, the dish I was waiting for: 👉 Grilled wild boar—tender, tasty, with an intense but not gamey flavor. A total surprise. I'll finish with a bang with dessert: 🍫 Hazelnut roché with chocolate sauce. A delight. The prices? Looking at the menu, they seemed average, and after trying everything, I'd say the quality is top-notch and completely justified. This lunch was a revelation: everything homemade, so much care, excellent ingredients, and a cuisine that exudes passion. If you're in the Marche region, you absolutely must come to Tavernetta sull'Aia. Today I ate like a god... and yes, this lunch truly put me at peace with the world.
