The city of São Paulo is facing heavy rains that have caused widespread flooding. In the southern zone and the center of the São Paulo capital, the precipitation persists without signs of letting up. Significant rainfall has also been recorded in Guarulhos (SP) and other areas of southeastern Brazil. On the São Paulo coast, the situation is critical, with streets completely flooded. In São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, local residents report a large amount of water accumulated on public roads. Dona Vera was one of the people affected by the flash flood while trying to return home. Vehicles are finding it difficult to travel through the flooded streets; drivers are showing concern when crossing sections where the water level reaches almost halfway up the tires. Motorcyclists are the most affected by the adverse conditions caused by the continuous rainy weather in the coastal region since the beginning of the day. The forecast indicates that the rains should persist in the coming days in various parts of the state.
