Near the northern California city of the same name, Lake Oroville was formed by the tallest earth-filled dam in the country at 900 feet at maximum capacity, 770 feet above the stream bed of the Feather River. While RV camping at Lake Oroville State Recreation Area's Bidwell Canyon Campground we explore the lake, the dam, the trails, the town, and more. We'll take in some history and natural beauty, break out the e-bike on trails around the lake, and hike to the top of Big Bald Rock, where we'll try the Starlink Mini in a true backcountry environment.
