I found this serpentine front mahogany chest of drawers at Goodwill for just $30 and I could not believe what I was looking at. Inside one of the drawers was a Mahogany Association Inc. certification label guaranteeing genuine mahogany throughout, issued under a penalty contract. Combined with dovetail drawers and that gorgeous serpentine curved front this is solid mid 20th century craftsmanship that someone let go for thirty dollars. In this video I walk you through the full transformation - cleaning, drawer repair, stripping the top to preserve the original mahogany, painting the body in Rosemary by Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel and finishing the top with wipe on polyurethane for the first time ever. The result is stunning. Some creative fixes in this one too - a paint stir stick catch piece that cost me nothing.
