Digital Art: Elementary School Program

This spring, Stay Arts delivered its after-school Digital Art Program to hundreds of TK–5th grade students, introducing young artists to digital illustration, animation, and mixed media through hands-on lessons using iPads and Procreate. Serving 12 elementary schools, students developed new artistic skills while discovering technology as a creative tool for designing, illustrating, and bringing their own ideas to life. Throughout the program, each student created original digital artworks that were showcased in an online gallery for their families and community to enjoy. At a time when technology is an everyday part of childhood, we believe it's equally important to teach students how to use it to imagine, create, and express themselves. By combining digital tools with arts education, students were empowered to become creators of their own ideas while building confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. A huge thank you to our incredible teaching artists and every student who brought curiosity, creativity, and imagination to the classroom each day. We're proud of what we built together and excited to continue expanding access to digital arts education.
