For several days after the incident, the Dukuh Bromo Asri neighborhood was deserted, as many residents were afraid to leave their homes. "Many didn't dare leave their homes, especially since the area around Dukuh Bromo Asri is so incredibly tense. Several houses were evacuated for fear of a repeat and for the trauma of such an incident," said Aris.
