Artist Woods Davy works from his Venice Beach studio to create vertical assemblages of natural, unaltered stone that appear to float, that delicately defy gravity. He assembles stone and has also assembled a massive collection of kifwebe masks too — a gathering of "hauntingly powerful stares. My work and collection of bifwebe both deny the natural order." He has so many kifwebe masks in fact, that he finds it difficult to add; "I have so many, it is difficult to find a mask that speaks to me these days that is also accessible to me and is a bit different than what I have."
