CULT OR TRASH? | Blind Watching Horror Movies (Vinegar Syndrome Edition)

Welcome to the very first episode of Cult Cinema Macabre, a new monthly series here on Library Macabre where I crack open my Vinegar Syndrome subscriber package, show off the packaging and physical media goodies, and then blind watch the movies for the first time to see if they’re hidden cult gems… or total trash cinema. Sometimes trash is good. Sometimes it's bad. Where do these fall? 👀 I’m filming this in my new home library, and while this channel is usually focused on horror books and BookTube content, I wanted to take a break from the reading pile and talk about horror movies, cult cinema, and boutique Blu-ray releases again. For 2026 I decided to resubscribe to Vinegar Syndrome, the boutique home video label known for restoring obscure horror, exploitation, cult, and genre films on Blu-ray and 4K UHD. Sometimes you get incredible rediscoveries… sometimes you get absolute duds. But no matter what, it's wonderful to see movies of all kinds getting the royal treatment they deserve!
