Aguinaldo Silva is a writer, screenwriter, journalist, and author of many award-winning telenovelas and miniseries. Aguinaldo Silva holds the "mark" of being the only playwright at TV Globo who has only written prime-time telenovelas. He has won Emmy Awards and is the creator of emblematic Brazilian TV characters such as Nazaré Tedesco, Maria do Carmo, Griselda Pereirão, among many others. He was imprisoned during the military dictatorship, is 81 years old, continues writing even though he is no longer at TV Globo, and discusses all these topics and many more in the interview we recorded with him for our podcast on July 24, 2024, in São Paulo.
