RESCUED by Kind Filipinos After RETURNING to the PHILIPPINES!

We came to Laguna for one of the biggest days of her life. Hours later, I was stranded with a broken car—and an international flight leaving Manila that night. I had no idea whether I could save the day, reach Manila Airport, or what would happen to the borrowed Honda. What started as a special Philippines road trip for Jet’s UP Los Baños graduation quickly became one of our most chaotic travel days. We drove from Manila to Santo Tomas, explored a strangely empty mall in Calamba, checked into our Batangas Airbnb, and celebrated with Filipino food at Balay Dako in Tagaytay. Everything changed on graduation day when the Honda Accord suddenly developed a transmission problem and went into limp mode. With Gray and Jet heading to the ceremony, a closed workshop ahead of me, and a flight to China departing from Manila that evening, I was stranded far from the airport with almost no time to find a solution. This is not clickbait—this is what happens when travel, family plans, and real life collide in the Philippines.
