UTA FrontRunner Ogden to Salt Lake City, in the Bombardier Bi-level Commuter Car

Join us on a journey aboard the FrontRunner commuter rail system! This 83-mile corridor connects 16 stations across Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties. We’re traveling aboard one of Utah Transit Authority, UTA for short, trains between Ogden and Salt Lake City. The train is composed of three Bombardier bi-level cars, the standard modern commuter car in North America. These were originally designed in the mid-1970’s by Hawker Siddeley in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, and after a number of manufacturer ownership changes became a Bombardier product.
