RIP Hector Vargas Haya★ •̷ ̷•̷ ̷•̷ ̷•̷ ̷•̷ ̷•̷ ̷•̷ ̷•̷ Full text will not solve anything: se 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮́𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗼 | Hector Vargas Haya The party leadership needs a renewed and modern mindset to keep pace with science and technology. In Peru, we are lagging behind by 50 years, falling further and further behind the rest of the world. We must think with a futuristic perspective; the present no longer exists. It is urgent to work with young people. Talented youth must be prepared to lead the party and politics in general. We must shed selfishness and pettiness, and humbly acknowledge that it is the turn of the new generations. And the older members must understand that the party urgently needs to be modernized. The convened plenary session will not resolve anything. An Extraordinary Programmatic Congress of a scientific-political nature is required, without prejudice to the indispensable moral recomposition of its ranks. A review of principles and procedures is urgently needed to understand true Aprismo, which was never statist. Haya de la Torre always condemned state capitalism, which is the exploitation of man by the state, and never refused to engage with private capital on equal terms. WE MUST RETURN TO BEING A SCHOOL The party needs to return to its role as a school of knowledge, and to the training of its members through leadership training, seminars, doctrinal and universal discussions, and other cultural activities. Information technology, using modern computers, must be a constant source for updating the party, with the participation of a youth that, without focusing on short-term gains, understands that the party will not die as long as we rid ourselves of selfishness and self-interest. I believe that all this and much more reflects the sentiment of the party's legitimate base, who are eager for Aprismo to once again assume national political leadership through hard work, continuous preparation, discipline, and honesty.
