INAV Setup Guide for RC Planes (Before & After Install) | My Method for a Perfect Maiden

✈️ Welcome to Stones RC Channel! In this video we walk through my complete INAV setup process that I use on every RC plane build before the maiden flight. This guide is designed especially for new pilots learning INAV and wanting a reliable way to configure their aircraft safely before flying. I split my setup into two important stages that makes preparing and configuring a flight controller in INAV much easier and safer for a successful maiden flight. Part 1 – Basic INAV Setup (Before Installation) Before installing the flight controller into the aircraft, I show how I: • Install and update the INAV firmware • Perform the initial configuration • Set up key settings before anything is wired This stage creates a clean and stable base configuration before the flight controller is installed into the aircraft. Part 2 – Final Setup (After Installation) Once the aircraft is fully built and everything is connected, we go back into INAV to: • Recheck the configuration • Setup connected components • Configure modes and inputs • Verify sensors and hardware • Prepare the aircraft for a safe maiden flight Although this is a longer video, it is designed to help new RC pilots understand INAV better and reduce mistakes during setup. This is my preferred workflow when building FPV planes and long-range aircraft, and it has helped me achieve many successful maiden flights. ⚠️ Important: Always double-check your configuration and follow safe procedures before flying.
