One of the most important aspects of delicious mashed potatoes is, of course, the potatoes themselves 😁If possible, I recommend using old, yellow potatoes. If your potatoes are alright, you can find other tips in my recipe 👍🏻Don't forget to like and comment 🙋🏻‍♀️ Mashed Potatoes Ingredients: 6 medium potatoes 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup milk 100ml heavy cream 3-4 sprigs fresh thyme Nutmeg 1 teaspoon salt Instructions: For the mashed potatoes, boil them until tender. If you have one, use a steamer. This will help the potatoes retain their flavor and vitamins. If you don't have a steamer, boil them without peeling them. Place the boiled potatoes in a mashing bowl, season with salt, and mash until completely smooth. I don't recommend using a blender at this stage. Because potatoes are starchy, a blender will alter their texture and flavor. It's best to mash them by hand. Combine the butter and milk in a saucepan and heat until the butter melts. Add the mashed potatoes to the saucepan and stir until all the milk is absorbed. Add the cream, stir, and remove from heat. Add the trimmed fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of grated nutmeg. The nutmeg will absorb the potatoes' earthy flavor and add flavor. Shape the puree into a serving dish, sprinkle a little more fresh thyme over the top, and serve. If the puree thickens after sitting, you can adjust the consistency with milk heated in a small saucepan before serving.
