"Panzerlied" (in English, "Panzer Song" or "Tank Song") is a German military march composed in 1933 by Oberleutnant Kurt Wiehle. It was originally written for the armored forces (Panzerwaffe) of the Greater German Reich and became one of the most well-known songs of the Wehrmacht during World War II. The song gained even more popularity after appearing in the 1965 film "Battle of the Bulge." Although created for the Wehrmacht, the song has been adapted and used by armored forces in other countries, although in Germany its use is currently controversial due to its association with the fascist regime.
