Stone Culture Knapping Jig Design for the Disabled Knapper
Many of our members and fans are disabled vets, and would love to learn this ancient and awesome skill. This jig was inspired by many wonderful contributions from a wide range of enthusiasts, many with physical limitations. The result is a knapping jig that works for everyone! An adjustable eye bolt and clamp allows you to Articulate your preform, as well as shoot either longer or shorter flakes depending on your needs. Clamp your preform in place, or use the top plate as a back stop. This jig functions as a hand, and aids in leverage as well as articulation, affording you the additional strength needed to shoot longer flakes across wider preforms, or knapping those really hard stones such as flint, jaspar, novaculite, chert, or quartz. There is no limitation, other than your own level of practice! Find us on facebook, for personal guidance and help from World Renown Knapper Keith Hull, Founder of Stone Culture! http://stores.ebay.com/American-Lithics
