There are many villages in rural Galicia that are losing population day by day. I think this village is a clear example of the depopulation of rural areas. You can clearly see that it was a village where many families lived in the past because of the number of houses there are. And although many houses are second homes and are inhabited at certain times of the year, the feeling of walking through the streets and not meeting people and seeing most of the houses closed and many others abandoned or in ruins makes you think a lot about how most people escape from traditional life, from the life of yesteryear in search of places with more services nearby but at the same time more crowded, where everything is done in a hurry, in a hurry and there is never time for anything. But living in places like this seems like the clock is going slower. It is a great shame to see how such beautiful houses built simply with stone and wood are falling down in many villages, and there are hundreds like this one.
