Welcome to the first full route visual (or full journey, whichever you prefer) filmed on the streets of Hong Kong! This time, we’re hitting the capital right from the start — because why not? Today’s route is one of Hong Kong’s champion trunk routes: long-distance services where passengers are constantly hopping on and off at almost every stop. Most of Hong Kong’s trunk routes carry decades of history, originally formed from the city’s limited early road network. Over time, many became even longer through mergers with other routes. A great example is Route 1, which merged with 5B — now extended to Felix Villas (while Route 1 still ends at Central Macau Ferry). I planned this visual to capture a real glimpse of Hong Kong’s vibrant urban life before heading into the more peaceful rural outskirts — the perfect contrast. On the same day, I actually tried filming another route too, but let’s just say… that one didn’t go quite as planned! Well I guess I need to do that again the next time I come back!
