How to Knit a Basic Baby Hat with Circular Needles | Super Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial | Max Baby Set - left hand knit tutorial The Max Baby Hat is a simple and super easy knit worked in stockinette stitch, perfect for beginners. It’s soft, stretchy, and comfortable—ideal for baby boys and girls from 3-6 months (and adjustable up to 12–24 months). For this hat, I used 3.5 mm circular needles and DK yarn (LaMia Baby Boom). For the 3-6 month size, I used approximately 27 g / 74yd / 67m of yarn. Don’t worry if you need a different size—this pattern can be easily adjusted from 0–3 months all the way to 12–24 months.
