The great detective and Scotland Yard jack-in-office | Granada Sherlock Holmes

That's who I imagine when I read the books: Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes. I have watched the series to the nth time now and still love it to bits. Granted, it's a bit rough around the edges (especially fight / action scenes are laughably bad compared to today's standards, which is why I omitted all of them) but in my humble opinion, that's one thing that adds to its charm.
