The Tie-Off Returns! Tim, Cheech, and Tom tie the Goddard Caddis
The Goddard Caddis, originally called the G&H Sedge, was developed by John Goddard and Clive Henry in the 1960s to imitate caddis (or sedges as they are called in the UK) for stillwater fishing. The fly works just as well as a large caddis imitation in trout rivers around the world. We're sure that the three guys will all tie it differently, so you'll learn various ways of creating this fly. And you'll get to vote on who ties the best one. Hook: Standard dry fly. They will be using a size 12 Thread: Tan. You may want to use gel-spun for the deer hair and 8/0 for the hackle Body and wing: Whitetail deer body hair Hackle: Typically brown Antennae: Hackle stem
