Alone in the Forest. I carved this cup from a fairly hard block of wood, using only simple tools, bit by bit, taking my time. I worked beneath the forest canopy, beside a lake, surrounded by the natural sounds of cicadas humming, frogs croaking, and birdsong everywhere. Then I sat and drank a cup of coffee from the very cup I'd made, savoring it together with the sounds of nature. Truly relaxing and peaceful.
