Bandai Wouldn't Make A New Serpent Kit, So THEY Did! | 1/144 Qingzhou Python UNBOXING & REVIEW [4K]

Hi guys, and welcome to my review of the 1/144 Qingzhou Model Serpent, a 2026 release kit that is essentially a modern high grade-equivalent model kit of the Serpent from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz from a third party company! This kit also happened to release at a rather opportune time, as Bandai's last 1/144 offering of the Serpent was via the High Grade Fighting Action line way back in 1998 and while they are releasing a line of Endless Waltz HGAC kits starting with the Sandrock Custom this summer, they have made no announcement of a new Serpent kit yet. This kit is essentially equivalent to a slightly older high grade in terms of parts count and complexity in assembly, and has no polycaps to be seen! Coupled with surprisingly great color separation and a massive array of accessories that gives you every equipment configuration option you could want, at the low price this kit comes in at it seems like a no-brainer! Unfortunately though everything is not all sunshine and rainbows, as despite the kit being polycap-free it still suffers from looseness in some places due to small fit issues all across the kit, the color of the dark brown plastic in particular does not match the shade used by the Serpent or the manual for this kit, and as you might expect from this design that is all on top of mediocre articulation. Are these downsides enough to take down this third-party Serpent or is it worth the TLC you'll need to put in to fix up this kit? Also the gain issues that were in the unboxing section of my last video cropped up in parts of the review of this video, going to try disabling the auto compressor in the Rode software and seeing if that fixes things in future reviews, sorry if the volume swings a bit in this video.
