Full Route Visual | London Bus Route 310 - Golders Green to Stamford Hill | (37535) YX68UMK

On Sunday 1st September 2024, Transport For London introduced a brand new “trial” route to connect North West London - Golders Green & North East London Stamford Hill called the 310. The 310 is operated by Stagecoach London using Enviro200MMC’s from Ash Grove [HK] Garage. The route runs every 20 minutes, 7AM - 7PM (Monday - Sunday) and follows the existing alignment of the 210 from Golders Green, Hampstead, Highgate Village, Archway, Crouch Hill and then Finsbury Park. However, the 310 does not serve the station towards Stamford Hill and instead passes under the low bridge at Stroud Green Road to connect to the A503 towards Manor House to end at Stamford Hill Broadway by following the 253 & the 254. I would like to thank the driver for letting me film the front of the bus and for him taking me to the bus stands as well. This is my first Stagecoach Visual from me and what better way for me to do it from the front. The experience was really nice, the driver had some fast speeds, and many enthusiasts appeared in the visual which was nice! However, I do feel that the route should be operated by Arriva or Metroline as their garages are closer to the route than Stagecoach. But the route is only a trial route to be fair & Stagecoach seem to be a good fit for Golders Green so I don’t mind lol. I also do hope Stagecoach add their SN57 Enviro 200 Darts & Optare Solo’s in the next few days to come. The iBus would've been nicer if it said "three ten", instead of "three one o" as it sounds completely different to it's existing alignment route "210" or rather "2 10". The route was meant to be introduced on Saturday 31st August 2024. But TFL - (for some random reason), decided to make it the day after. The route exists because Transport For London plans on connecting two popular Jewish communities across North London without interchanging at Finsbury Park. For the past 15 years, the Jewish Community has been campaigning for TFL to create a link alongside the London Assembly. This is because of a rise in anti-semitic incidents at Finsbury Park. TFL often shut this plan down stating that the route would be quote on quote “unsustainable and expensive to run.” Sadiq Khan also stated that he had plans with TFL to create a link if he was to be quote on quote “re-elected.” Did he have to wait 8 years in power to introduce a route that has been on demand for almost two decades? I just hope that the 210 does not become unreliable in the future or that TFL decides to do a PVR decrease or go back to their original plan by single decking the 210 and extending it down to Stamford Hill. The consultation for this route also opened on Sunday , so the route might in fact get re-modified in the future, hopefully not withdrawn. To be fair, this was a weird move from TFL not gonna lie. Usually, before a route’s introduction, a consultation takes solace beforehand. But TFL decided to do things their way. But otherwise, enjoy a visual of a brand new route!
