Practical Preservation Podcast Featuring Isabel Thornton of Restoration Housing
This week Danielle spoke with Isabel Thornton of Restoration Housing. Restoration Housing (https://www.restorationhousing.org/) is a nonprofit organization that develops affordable rental properties benefiting limited-income individuals and families through the preservation of neglected historic structures. Danielle and Isabel discussed the benefits of restoring older houses in lieu of building new structures, and how the multi-family home model is relevant in today's world. Isabel also explained how advantageous tapping into historic tax credit funding and low income housing credits is for their organization.
