Barker College - NAIDOC Assembly 2026

In a special celebration centred on the theme of "50 Years of Deadly" we marker NAIDOC Week. Darkinjung Barker proudly shared a beautiful Blak Smoke dance, with Dhupuma Barker sharing a video featuring manakay and  bunngul from the opening of their new school. Garwoeidhamin Mayan also joined the whole school assembly to share a Fishing and Cleansing dance. For the first time, all students sat in one enormous yarning circle, and learned the traditional layout held significance as it gives everyone equal standing, the right to be heard and the capacity to listen.
