Hardcore (no deaths) Self-found (no trading/AH/mail) Solo unassisted (no grouping or assistance from other players) No logout abuse (such as logging off to wait for hearthstone CD or logging off while traveling on zeppelins/boats) I did not use the website unstuck feature (or anything that requires disconnecting your client) I preset quest mobs in some places, but it’s not very dependable until after level 40 or so, since Stitches is a somewhat crowded server Q: How much rested XP did you have from 1-60? I completed the run in 29 days (June 9th to July 7th, 2024), but only logged off in non-rested areas (where rested XP accumulates 4x slower than in inns or cities). That is roughly equivalent to completing a speedrun in 9,5 days while logging off in rested areas. Q: Why do you level cooking? It unlocks some very efficient quests at high level, and you can level it up while traveling on zeppelins/boats or during escort quests. Q: Did you do anything that can’t be done on Era servers? Dungeon bosses give a lot of experience on Hardcore servers (while trash gives almost none) I soloed Kresh and Lady Anacondra in Wailing Caverns at level 20, Ghamoo-ra and Lady Sarevess in Blackfathom Deeps at level 28, Interrogator Vishas in Scarlet Monastery at level 31 as well as Theka the Martyr and Hydromancer Velratha in Zul’Farrak at level 47 I also bought a PVP trinket for gold at level 45 (extra safety for mobs in Zul’Farrak and Eastern Plaguelands that use fear/polymorph) - on Era you would have to farm rank 3 via PvP to buy it Q: What did you use Sticky Glue and Swiftness Potions on? I used one Sticky Glue on Cavalier Durgen at level 56 when I accidentally pulled him with three Scarlet Spellbinders I used one Swiftness Potion at level 30 to catch the Galak Messenger, one to solo Fozruk at level 40, one to escape a bad pull during Scarlet Diversions at level 56 and one in Moonglade while turning in my last quests to hit 60 Q: Why didn’t you record the entire run? I did a run once before that I recorded from level 1, but I died at level 50 and resolved to do another attempt this winter. This run was only supposed to be a practice run where I recorded certain parts as tutorials/reminders for myself, but after I finished Un’Goro Crater more than 1h40mins ahead of my old time, I decided to record the rest in full.
