Anaesthesia and the Obese Patient. Prof John Doyle
Prof. Doyle is with the Department of General Anesthesiology, Cleveland Clinic as well as Professor of Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Doyle received his MD degree in 1982 and his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1986, both from the University of Toronto. He received his Canadian board certification in anesthesia (FRCPC) in 1986 and his American certification in 1989. Dr. Doyle has a long-standing interest in ENT anesthesia and difficult airway management as well as an interest in the use of technology in medicine. His research has been supported by a number of funding agencies and he holds positions on a number of editorial boards. Dr. Doyle is past president of both the Society for Airway Management and the Society for Technology in Anesthesia. He has received clinical teaching awards on four occasions.
