Multiple myeloma is an incurable and relatively rare type of cancer. It affects the blood, starting in the bone marrow, and usually manifests in people over 50 years of age. The symptoms are silent and can be confused with diseases such as osteoporosis or even signs of aging, which often leads to a late diagnosis.
