My Gymnocalycium Collection | A Beginner-Friendly Cactus

In this video, I share my personal Gymnocalycium cactus collection — one of the most beautiful, easy-to-grow, and rewarding cactus genera for both beginners and experienced collectors. Cactus collector or not, most of us in North America who has ever been to a big box store that sells plants has seen a Gymnocalycium before - those bright and colorful Moon Cactus which is a grafted Gymnocalycium mihanovichii on dragon fruit stock. I used to have a Moon Cactus many years ago until my previous cat, Meo, knocked it off my window sill separating the scion from the stock. I knew nothing about cactus at the time and didn't know that rescue was possible. I don't have Moon Cactus anymore but I have 14 examples of other Gymnocalycium species to share with you all. I find Gymnocalycium to be low-maintenance and relatively easy to care for.
