Entertainment, At What Cost?: Spike Lee's BAMBOOZLED

On June 5th, As a part of our Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair film series we welcomed panelists Carla Aaron-Lopez (artist, educator, and curator), Dr. Randi Gil-Sadler (Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at Davidson College), Simon SMTHNG (sound artists and DJ). The post-discussion was moderated by Dr. de’Angelo Dia, our own Director of Education & Community Engagement. Topics discussed were those who are sacrificed in the name of entertainment, politics in the entertainment industry and our responsibility as viewers to the oppressed.
