Director Yutaka Mizutani's long-awaited fourth film, "Piccola felicità" (Small Happiness), is here! The trailer for "Piccola felicità" has been released! Piccola felicità means "small happiness" in Italian. Four stories about people at crossroads in their lives, each with an unexpected ending. This film will inspire viewers with a sense of small happiness. This is Mizutani Yutaka's fourth directorial effort. In this film, he not only directs, but also plans, writes, produces, and stars in five roles. The theme Mizutani has chosen for this film is "ART." In keeping with the director's vision of "every shot so beautiful you'd want to hang it on your wall," a talented cast including Iketani Nobue, Nahana, Kawai Gamon, Shuri, and Hashimoto Jun have been assembled to color the four stories. This marks the first time that Mizutani and Shuri have starred together as father and daughter. The cinematographer is Aida Masahiro, who has worked with the "Aibō" series for many years, and the music is by Yamamoto Yoshiki, who composed the soundtrack for Mizutani Yutaka's third film, "Bolero and the Sun" (2022). Each story is given a theme color—orange, green, or magenta—creating a unique atmosphere, creating colorful scenes. The diverse music, which blends seamlessly with the scenes across genres, further immerses you in the story. Experience the playful "MIZUTANI world." The newly released trailer depicts the human stories of three couples, each at a crossroads in their lives. Sato Sotaro (played by Mizutani Yutaka) is retiring from the family restaurant where he has worked for many years, and staff member Kakinuma Chieko (played by Iketani Nobue) looks on lovingly as he does so. Takahashi Fujio (played by Kawai Gamon), a painter, and his wife Miki (played by Nahana), are beginning to seriously consider divorce. Tanaka Reo (played by Hashimoto Jun) and Shirakawa Aoi (played by Shuri) are enjoying a harmonious date. Their images are calmly projected on a screen that exudes a unique atmosphere, vibrant with color. It's quiet, yet somehow ominous, like the air before a storm—and then the melody suddenly changes. The scenes unfold one after the other. It's fitting to call it the "unpredictable world of MIZUTANI," and the plot is completely unpredictable. A man attempts suicide by jumping. Stacks of bills flying. Burning flames. A man and a woman. An explosion of emotions... The film is suspenseful yet somehow warm, drawing viewers in. What will each of them end up with?
