The 60cm slim tank had less capacity than I expected. It was only about 2 liters more than the 30cm cube tank, but maybe I'm the only one who didn't know that lol. Anyway, since I'm using a solid top filter instead of an external filter, the tank is fairly stable. Starting with that, this video reveals some of the things I've learned and noticed about the tank I set up recently, including food and compatibility issues. I think there will be some useful information for anyone setting up a Japanese freshwater fish tank. It's been a while since I've had a useful video lol. Continuing from last time, the trematodes (flatworms) on the mussel's dorsal and caudal fins are Philopinna higai, and upon investigation, I found that they only parasitize mussels. Since they didn't cause any serious damage to the mussels, I introduced them into the tank as is without medicating them. In any case, the water quality of Japan's rivers and waterways is improving, and it feels like fish that I never saw when I was a child are returning. On the other hand, I've learned through scavenging and fishing that the problem of invasive species (including domestic invasive species) is more serious than ever.
