Water-based paints can be problematic if airbrush cleaning isn't done properly. Once dry, they resist water, their natural solvent, and can clog or stick the needle or nozzles of the airbrush. My cleaning method for acrylic paint is different from that for polyester paints, which in turn is very different from two-component polyurethane paints. In this video, I show how I clean my airbrush after using acrylic paint. I hope it's useful because it's a more complex cleaning process, but it needs to be done when there are signs that the airbrush's mechanics have been contaminated by this paint.
