Do Additives Improve Plasticity?
In this video I experiment with 4 different additives to see if they make a noticeable difference in the plasticity of wild clay. I use water, vinegar, rice water, and aloe vera juice. Vinegar does seem to make a noticeable difference but rice water and aloe vera juice appear to be minimal. Tony Soares did a related video: • Adding plant juice to clay Here is a video where rice water was added to clay with good results: • Enhancing clay with alchemy Your experience may be different so please leave comments with ideas and suggestions.
