Tool - Vicarious | WAY TOO HONEST! | FILM MAKER | FIRST REACTION

I'm back with another Tool reaction, and "Vicarious" is not disappointing! 🎸 After enjoying "Pneuma," I was excited to dive into this heavily requested song, especially as a filmmaker, animator, and creative. The thumbnail hinted at a psychedelic experience, and boy, did Tool deliver! 🌟 The song starts with striking visuals that transported me back to the MTV 2 days of shock rock, with echoes of Marilyn Manson and Nirvana. The instrumentation is incredible, with mind-blowing drumming that sets the tone for the rest of the experience. But it's the visuals that truly take center stage, and I mean that in a literal and figurative sense. 🎥 As an animator, I'm blown away by the 3D work and the unsettlingly realistic depictions. The proportions and details are so precise that it's almost like having X-ray vision, seeing the inner workings of creatures and characters. It's both fascinating and unnerving. 😲 The lyrics, however, are what really got under my skin. They're brutally honest about humanity's fascination with death and violence, and how we consume it in stories, movies, and even the news. It's a philosophical rabbit hole that made me reflect on my own beliefs and perspectives. 🤔 Watch my reaction to see how I navigated this thought-provoking experience.
