To consider a child as a budding philosopher is to grant them the status of a thinking being and to make them an interlocutor capable of putting words to the world, of beginning to think about it in order to find their place within it. Implementing a philosophical education for children would create the conditions for the cognitive, emotional, and social development of future citizens. Johanna Hawken is a researcher who has been leading philosophy workshops in Romainville (93) for ten years, in schools, middle schools, community centers, at the cinema, and at the library. Her audience: children aged 5 to 15. The resounding success of this initiative allowed the municipality to obtain the "philosophy city" label in 2013 and to create a House of Philosophy. Its premises were inaugurated in 2019. Johanna Hawken is its Director.
