The male vocal version expresses the quiet dignity of Sannō, the strength of divine protection, and the depth of prayer. The female vocal version expresses the light of dawn, the gentleness of sacred bonds, and a prayer that softly embraces the heart. どうぞ、二つの歌声に宿る異なる祈りの響きをお聴きください。 Please listen to the different prayers carried within these two voices. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 本作『山王ノ暁（さんのうのあかつき）』は、 東京・赤坂に鎮まる日枝神社の主祭神、 大山咋神（おおやまくいのかみ）へ捧げる神樂詩です。 This piece, “Sannō no Akatsuki” — Dawn of Sannō — is dedicated to Ōyamakui no Kami, the main deity of Hie Shrine in Akasaka, Tokyo. 山王祭の本祭が行われるこの時期に、 都心の真ん中で静かに人々を見守る山王の神へ、 祈りと感謝を込めて制作しました。 Created during the sacred season of the Sannō Festival, this work is offered as a prayer of gratitude to the guardian deity of Sannō, who quietly watches over the heart of Tokyo. 大山咋神は、山・水・大地を司る神として崇敬され、 万物の成長発展、厄除け、縁結び、商売繁盛、社運隆昌など、 人の営みを広く守り導く御神徳を持つ神とされています。 Ōyamakui no Kami is revered as a deity connected with mountains, water, and the earth. He is also worshipped for growth, protection, good fortune, prosperity, business success, and the guiding of human life. 赤坂の地に鎮まる日枝神社は、 江戸の時代より「山王さま」として親しまれ、 都を守る神域として、多くの祈りを受け継いできました。 Hie Shrine has long been beloved as “Sannō-sama” since the Edo period, and has carried countless prayers as a sacred guardian shrine of the city. 本作では、 まだ闇の残る都に暁の光が差し込み、 迷いや災いが祓われ、 新たな道が静かに開かれていく情景を描いています。 This song portrays the moment when dawn light enters a city still touched by darkness — a prayer for misfortune to be purified, confusion to fade, and a new path to quietly open. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ◇「まさる」に込めた祈り The Prayer Within “Masaru” 本作に登場する「まさる」は、 日枝神社の神使である神猿（まさる）に由来しています。 The word “masaru” in this song comes from the sacred monkey of Hie Shrine, known as Masaru. 「魔が去る」 「勝る」 「縁を結ぶ猿」 The word carries several layered meanings: “Ma ga saru” — evil and misfortune depart. “Masaru” — to overcome, to prevail, to become greater. “Saru” — the sacred monkey, also connected with bonds and good relationships. このような複数の祈りを重ねた言葉です。 It is a word where several prayers are woven together. 漢字をあえて定めず、 聴く方それぞれの願いの中で響くよう、 ひらがなで表現しました。 I intentionally wrote it in hiragana, without fixing it to one specific kanji meaning, so that each listener may feel the word through their own prayer. 苦しみの中にいる人には、魔が去る祈りとして。 挑戦の中にいる人には、勝る力として。 良き縁を願う人には、結びの祈りとして。 For someone in hardship, may it be a prayer for darkness to leave. For someone facing a challenge, may it become the strength to overcome.
