We Can't Leave Mexico

Well... this did not go to plan. We had a really great plan to leave Mexico, and now it just isn't possible. We've been last minute planners since we started traveling full time three years ago. We were actually forced to learn to go with the flow in our travels because of the pandemic - we couldn't rely on the world to be predictable, so we leaned into the unpredictability and never planned anything until 1-2 weeks before. Now, it seems our lackadaisical approach to travel planning is finally catching up to us and we can't leave Mexico, but we also can't stay here legally for much longer. We had everything planned for our final 11 days in this wonderful country. All the accommodations were booked, activities planned, stops organized, and with just a few days until go-time, we hit a huge snag. Despite our best efforts to find a way around it, there just isn't one, and we have to deal with the repercussions of our mistake. In this video, we share with you what we messed up that is keeping us from leaving Mexico, and bring you along while we problem solve the issue and find a way to legally stay in Mexico (because somehow we both can't leave, and can't legally stay in the country either 😅).
