Snap-N-Store CD Storage Box (SNS01521) Review

Review: 4/5 Excellent for CDs in Sleeves, But Durability Only Okay. This is a perfect fit for storing many CDs in paper sleeves. It does not fit jewel cases well. If you need only to store sets of CDs in paper sleeves for infrequent access, this is perfect. My alternative was a shoe box which wasn't the right size for CDs to stand up. This perfectly lets me pile a bunch in, and I put my own cardboard dividers with tabs so I can quickly find sets. For the price, it is an excellent solution if you consider it just to be a box that is the right shape. With paper sleeves, there is slight room above them so the lid doesn't just sit on them for support, and more room if leaning slightly. This is nice for me to add tabs to separate sets. I really wish it were plastic, or perhaps even a real cardboard box, but again for the price it works very well for infrequent use. If you are going beat them up much, then I don't know how long they will hold. It is constructed of hard cardboard sides, top, & bottom, but the edges are really just thick masking tape or paper, which is a bit flimsy. But as a whole it works. The snap construction is just fine and maybe a little more decorative, but perhaps aren't holding it as rigidly sturdy as if it had been glued. The sides, top, and bottom are harder than your normal cardboard box, but the seams are not as sturdy. I normal cardboard box is just the same material folded and then stapled. It sure holds a lot. It is heavy when fully loaded. For the value, it is the best solution to the storage problem to just store sets by paper sleeves.
