Pinback live at Best Friends Forever 2024, Las Vegas NV (October 11, 2024) [complete set]

Oh Pinback, you're so fine. I originally heard about the Best Friends Forever festival as I started hunting round for any Cap'n Jazz live dates after two shows in Chicago sold out immediately. And as I started to discover additional bands making appearances at the festival I just knew I had to be there. The Cap'n Jazz and American Football combo on its own would have had me there. Seeing Pinback the same evening seemed almost too good to be true. ----- I'm gonna level with you. I've paid for VIP tickets for festivals before, only to be disappointed by terrible sight-lines. For BFF, I really wish I had gotten VIP tickets, as space near the stage in the GA zone for a decent recording pretty much required a full-day commitment with no possibility to check the acts at the second stage. Although I wish I had been a little closer to the action, I think that the recording came out OK in the end. The band sounded great and seemed to be in a great mood, the crowd receptive and appreciative despite the dystopia of attending an emo/indie festival in Las Vegas. Hope you enjoy. ps. this recording goes out to the fine folks that humored chatting with this old fuck talking about life and music.
