A collection of stories filmed by KCRA-TV news cameraman Harry Sweet between February and December 1959. Highlights include Sacramento City Police Chief James V. Hicks; police in action after an armed robbery of a taxi driver at 26th and U Streets; a brief interview with then-Senator John F. Kennedy; the I Street Bridge; Minute Men at Mather AFB; a fire at the Burnett & Sons mill; rubber raft races on the American River in Fair Oaks; Miss Sacramento; a fire at the Hotel May at 3rd and Capitol; Mayor Azevedo's final duty as mayor—and much more.
