Every song has been picked because it has held a special place in my life, with some of my favourite ever bands and songs being on the track list. I hope that this EP and my versions of these songs can become a place of joy and comfort to you like the originals of these have been to me. The EP is called, ‘Paper, Bleach and Indigo’, because I used to draw a lot, dye my hair and my favourite time of day has always been dusk when the sky goes all indigo with the last bits of the sun behind it... I wanted it to evoke a sense of British teenage nostalgia because that’s what these songs all make me feel. The overall feeling of this from start to finish of making this EP was just pure fun and creativity. Everyone involved went above and beyond to make it as special as possible, this environment was so refreshing and really bought something different and more vulnerable to these covers, so I hope this comes across in the end result. Whilst wearing my heart on my sleeve it only felt right to make the video extra special. I wanted to recreate the artwork in real life and show you guys a bit of my world! So we went back to a place I have always returned to growing up. I walk there with my dog Harvey and go here to clear my head and feel free. I borrowed my Grandma’s car and we parked it just like it is in the artwork… basically… I hope you love the video!!! I hope you love the little world we’ve created for it too.
