What did Imam Shafi'i say about the beard? A deep look into the standardized Shafi'i school opinion on the beard vs what Imam Shafi'i has said about it in his famous work al Umm. Disclaimer: I strictly follow the standard opinion of the Shafi'i school as a whole. I view that trying to reinvent what that opinion should be, or how it should be determined as an error. I also am of the opinion that that standard can change by qualified leading scholars that are accepted as a whole by the current bodies of Shafi'i Fiqh scholarship.
