Will my Capri 2.8 Injection MAKE IT?? Roadtrip with Ford Mustang GT to Land’s End

If you have been following my series on this car then you’ll already know I bought my 1984 Ford Capri 2.8 Injection just a few weeks ago at a local motor trade car auction. I bought the Capri having not seen it but in the knowledge it needs a bit of work, albeit a running, MOT’d and presentable classic Ford. During the drive home it became clear the Capri ran well but a little warm – it hadn't ever overheated but I found myself watching the temperature gauge whenever driving it. I’ve changed the viscous coupling, viscous fan, thermostat and coolant, and it is now time to take the Capri on its first long drive! So, what will come first the end of my trouble free motoring in my near 40 year old Capri or... the end of the country? In this video I attempt to drive my Capri to Land's End… will I make it? During the drive I’ll update you on the latest round of jobs I have done on the car and, because my support vehicle on this trip is a Ford Mustang 5.0ltr V8, we’ll find out which is better on fuel… a modern V8 or a modern classic V6?
