Looking back at the September, 2020 fires in southern Oregon
One year ago today, Southern Oregon and Northern California saw a perfect storm of events — historically strong and sustained winds, soon stirring up multiple fire starts that would grow into the Almeda, South Obenchain, and Slater fires. The fires destroyed thousands of homes and hundreds of businesses. Many people lost everything they owned.
