Question 2. Reason 3. Emphasize 4. Interpretation 5. Request ★1. Question★ It is used to ask questions. だれ、なに、どこ、いつ、 どうして etc. + の/んです。 どこへ行(い)くんですか? どうして遅(おく)れたんですか? 何(なに)をしているんですか? ★2. Reason★ It is used to express reasons. It is used when the speaker is going to do something and the speaker explains the situations which are not expresed in words. どうして遅(おく)れたんですか? →バスが来(こ)なかったんです。 →雨(あめ)が降(ふ)っていたんです。 →鍵(かぎ)をなくしたんです。 ★3. Emphasize★ It is used to emphasize the meaning of a sentence. Often comes together with emphasize adverbs ex. 本当(ほんとう)に、とても etc. このりんごは本当(ほんとう)においしいんですよ! このテストはとても難しいんです。 ★4.
