Today I'd like to share with you some thoughts about the re-awakening ceremony of the grand organ at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on December 7, 2024 and address the criticism these 8 improvisations by Olivier Latry, Vincent Dubois, Thibault Fajoles and Thierry Escaich had received. I wish they would be transcribed into a special suite and other organists could play them. This re-awakening of the grand organ was part of the beautiful ceremony of re-opening of Notre Dame Cathedral 5 years after the tragic fire in 2019.
